A workaholic lawyer travels to her island home to convince an old friend to sign a contract he doesn’t want to sign but rekindled feelings, friendship and re-imagines her priorities in life.
Laura, a successful San Francisco lawyer on the cusp of promotion, travels to her home island to convince her childhood friend Chip to sign a contract to take over his family business as assigned by his grandfather but needs to be done by his 85 birthday, which is in a few days.
Given this was critical to her promotion, she travels on a short trip thinking of an easy job, but on confronting Chip she realizes it’s not that easy to convince him, so they make a deal. One fun activity is done together, he will read one page of the contract. For Laura, it was purely working but lately, she was having fun.
On one hand, she was enjoying scuba diving, horse riding, and unwinding herself to the spectral view of Sapphire Cove island with Chip, but on the other hand Owen, her finance, just sounded like work and being part of the rat race.
Just when things were getting better between Laura and Chip and Laura seemed to be enjoying Chip’s company, Owen came to the island unannounced and proposed to marry her the next day.
But Laura breaks up with Owen, also not sure of the contract. Gem, her childhood friend, offered her a spa treatment to overcome this crisis and on conversion, she gets an idea to convince Chip by adding a point in the contract.
Chip signed the contract, for Laura got her promotion as a partner, which she wanted all her life, but does she want to take this offer?
