The Trial Review
Court Room Drama – Web Series – 8 Episodes
Our Review:
3/5
The Trial is well-made, with strong performances from the cast. Kajol is particularly good as Noyonika, and she brings a lot of depth to the character. The series also explores some important themes, such as the challenges faced by women in the workplace and the stigma of being married to a disgraced man.
However, the series is also slow-paced at times, and it lacks originality. The courtroom scenes are particularly predictable, and the series never really breaks any new ground. Overall, The Trial is a worthwhile watch for fans of legal dramas and Kajol’s work, but it is not a groundbreaking series.
Here are some of the pros and cons of the series:
Pros:
- Strong performances from the cast, especially Kajol
- Explores important themes
Cons:
- Slow-paced
- Lacks originality
- Poor writing
- Predictable courtroom scenes
Overall, we would give The Trial a rating of 3 out of 5 stars. It is a well-made series with strong performances, but it is not a groundbreaking series. And the cast is good but because of poor writing, you will not fall in love or hate with any character. If you are a fan of legal dramas or Kajol’s work, then you will probably enjoy it. However, if you are looking for something new and exciting, then you may be disappointed.
