Difficult to say if it is a fu.…. great film or just a fu… time waste, but any side you choose Anil Kapoor stands out as a complete entertainment package, total jhakaas! & Anurag Kashyap is flawless and natural.
Lines are blurred between real and reel, and somewhere watching the movie you will realize is it a real incident or a movie, Anurag being Anurag, “Mere baad sab gobar hai.”, on a interview when someone from the audience ask how can we make it big like you to that he replies, you can’t until and unless your surname is Kapoor and it seems like, he is just putting all his struggling days frustration out and Anil Kapoor is at the receiving end, but its not only Anurag charging against Anil Kapoor, he is also savage when it comes to reply back .
Watching this movie feels like you are listening to actual bollywood conversions between two eminent personalities, without any filter, dialogues like Anurag is the “Chutiyon ka Ranveer Singh Ekdum top.”, “There is only one star left in the house, Sonam”, “Wasseypur film se gali nikal do toh wasseypur ke log nahi dekhenge” and more is the masala for the movie.
AK vs AK Honest Review:
Other than all abuses from both ends, it also explores the life of an Actor & Director both are so dedicated to their craft. Anil Kapoor performing in his famous song, to a local small crowd in the middle of a tragedy is something awesome, for public actors only matter for selfie, pics or their entertainment, whether it is the manager Mathur or the crowd asking to perform, but if one scene which tops all is the police station sequence, it cannot get any better than this, Anil Kapoor being a celebrity is powerful yet so helpless and Anurag Kashyap prompting kya acting hai and the silent words!
Harshvardhan mention Motwane’s Bhavesh Joshi Superhero has destroyed his career and hopes Kashyap will help reverse his fortunes, Yogita Bihani, the camerawoman is behind the camera but her presence it felt throughout, also Motwane shows her being on Anurag Bed, Anil Kapoor asking her have she graduated to his girlfriend is a nice pinch of salt to the dish. He also shows Anurag Kashyap’s famous DVD library and the lavish Anil Kapoor Abode. A conversion with Nawadi Sidheuue, Tapsi Pannu breaking ties with Anurag are some delightful additions. “Day-Lewis ho gaye, There is blood” Kashyap quips in a scene where Kapoor is injured shows passion.
AK vs AK Honest Review:
Overall AK vs AK, is something very new to experience but whenever Motwane is involved the bar is raised. As a movie there is never a dull moment, every scene is a surprise, keeps you at edge and each scene is well crafted.
