Meenakshi Sundareshwar Movie Review – Synopsis:
Newly married Sundareshwar (Abhimanyu) and Meenakshi (Sanya Malhotra), had to stay apart as Sundareshwar got a job in another city. The story revolves around whether long distance will drive them apart or make them more fond of each other.
Meenakshi Sundareshwar Movie Review – Story:
Set in the beautiful city of Madurai, Sundareshwar & his family looking for a suitable girl for him lands at Meenakshi’s home due to misunderstanding, but as both talk Sundareshwar ticks all the box of Meenakshi except one that she is hard core Superstar Rajinikanth fan while he does not watch movies because they put him to sleep, also she loves to read. He has never gone beyond playing book-cricket.
However they got hitched as her grandfather draws parallels with Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati, saying this could be their destiny.Soon after their wedding Sundareshwar get a job which takes him to bangalore and the company only except single candidate(weird logic), so he can’t take Meenakshi with him.
Initially it was difficult for Sundareshwar to adjust in the new environment, but tries hard to maintain his relationship and job while Meenakshi struggles with him and surprises him on his birthday to find him enjoying his new setup and comes back disheartened.
Meanwhile she meets her college friend who offers her a job in his father tea state, which distract her a bit but doesn’t go well with her in laws family which leads her to think if she was right about marrying Sundareshwar, as per her grandfather suggestion, she tries to talk it out, but due to Sundareshwar colleague misadventure they end up fighting on Sundareshwar presentation day.
Post which Sundareshwar comes back to Madurai but Meenakshi doesn’t want to talk to him or meet him. Finally Rajnikant comes to rescue.
Meenakshi Sundareshwar Movie Review – Review:
After a long time, a family entertainer without any vulgar scenes or talks(except a funny role play by the newly wed, hijacked by his family), set in the beautiful city of Madurai with both leads(Abhimanyu and Sanya Malhotra) perfect in the characters supported by other characters, you will love both the characters supported by beautiful location and beautiful ethnic attire. Experience the sweet up and down of arranged marriage and long distance relationships with them. With all those positive vibes, the movie seems a little slow and dragged, a bit of drama addition would have been better.
Special mention – Sanya Malhotra ace her character so beautifully that she will become a dream for every single guy who doesn’t swipe left and right and wait for the one.
