Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar Movie Review: Plot

Sandeep(Parineeti Chopra) a top executive at Parivartan bank, turned her bank fortunes by launching a Ponzi scheme called Swabhiman blackmailed her Boss to disclose about the scheme if not paid the asked amount on her exit. Her boss Parichay refuses the offer and wants to get her killed. Everything was according to the Parichay plan till Satyendra Dahiya aka Pinky, a suspended Haryanavi police officer who was tasked to escort her, gave his boss Tyagi(Jaideep Ahlawat) the wrong vehicle number. Post the enlightenment, them being the target, they run away to a location from where they can escape to Nepal. Given Sandeep was 3 months pregnant with her Boss child, she wanted a hygienic place to hide as they cannot check in hotels due to finance and fear of getting caught. Fooling and convincing an elderly couple(Neena Gupta & Raghubhar Yadav) to stay with them, meanwhile arranging for their Nepal passport but Pinky had his plan but the plan came crashing when Tyagi get to know their location following a lead of money transfer made by Sandeep to an account.

Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar Movie Review: Review

Awesome start to a mediocre storyline, initial scenes promise to be a great thriller but fades away as the story progresses and becomes a simple boring repetitive opposite character’s caught in a situation story. The plot fails talents like Neena Gupta, Raghubhar Yadav, Jaideep Ahlawat. Parineeti Chopra shines as partial Sun on a gloomy day and kept the hope alive. Arjun Kapoor seems to have been left without direction, his body language doesn’t match his character and the movie seemed a collaboration between A lazy director, writer, and actor who was told to make a movie with half payment paid. It is like a marriage where initially you feel excited followed by a usual boring life. If on theaters, the audience would have been faraar after the interval.

Why to watch
  • Parineeti Chopra as Sandeep
  • If fan of Parineeti Chopra & Arjun Kapoor as a pair
  • Arjun Kapoor dance in song faraar
  • Directed by Dibakar Banerjee
